“There is so much we can be doing to ensure that Fort Collins continues to be a great place to live for people of all ages. The Larimer County Summit on Aging is a great place to start, with national speakers, local experts and lots of opportunities for brainstorming new ideas. As a business owner, longtime resident and baby boomer myself, I encourage you to sign up and participate. This event is for us.” –Dennis Houska, owner of Houska Automotive Services. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to aging in northern Colorado. Having a community that is built around making people feel safe, engaged in their neighborhoods and organizations, that allow opportunities to stay active physically, mentally and emotionally……. this is what I feel Larimer County offers us. But it does take planning – on a personal level and on a broader community-wide level. I’m so looking forward to the Summit on Aging on May 7 to be inspired, to learn, and to gain insight into how our community can continue on this path. Remember, when you plan for an age-friendly community, you are planning for all ages. Jill Taylor – UCHealth Senior Services / Aspen Club
